Bridgestone Turanza and Potenza: Innovation in Motion

The year 2025 marks a turning point for Bridgestone. With the launch of the new Bridgestone Turanza EverDrive touring tire and the custom development of Potenza Race tires for the Golf GTI Edition 50, the Japanese manufacturer is showcasing its technical expertise both on the road and the track. Two products, two visions, one shared ambition: to push the limits of performance and durability.

Bridgestone Turanza: Comfort and Longevity

Designed for sedans, compact SUVs, and minivans, the Turanza EverDrive is Bridgestone’s most durable touring tire to date, featuring an 80,000-mile limited warranty. It includes a new compound that helps resist irregular wear, along with ENLITEN technology for excellent grip on dry, wet, and light snowy roads.

Its multi-pitch tread pattern reduces vibration and road noise, offering consistent comfort season after season. In internal testing, the Turanza EverDrive delivered 24% better snow braking than the Michelin Defender2 and Continental ControlContact, and 2% better wet braking compared to the Defender2.

Available in 36 sizes (ranging from 16 to 20-inch wheels, with T, H, and V speed ratings), it fits popular models such as the Chevrolet Equinox, Honda Civic, and Toyota RAV4. The launch also aligns with Bridgestone’s E8 Commitment, particularly in the areas of Ecology, Extension, and Ease of use.

Potenza Race: Record-Breaking Performance

To celebrate 50 years of the Volkswagen Golf GTI, Bridgestone developed a custom Potenza Race version inspired by its motorsport lineup. Featuring a high-grip compound, optimized tread profile, and lightweight casing, the tire is built to maximize track performance while maintaining solid wet-road capabilities.

Unveiled at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, the Golf GTI Edition 50 equipped with these tires set a lap record of 7:46:13 — the fastest ever for a production GTI on the German circuit. According to Bridgestone, this collaboration is proof of what two performance-focused brands can achieve together.

By combining long-lasting comfort with cutting-edge motorsport technology, Bridgestone reasserts its leadership in the tire industry in 2025. The simultaneous launch of the Turanza EverDrive and Potenza Race reflects a comprehensive vision: meeting the expectations of everyday drivers and performance enthusiasts alike. Innovations that clearly show where the future of driving is headed.
